Living Museum
× Open
Invitational
June 15–20, 2026
An international exhibition that brought artists with disabilities and progressive studios into the center of contemporary art during Art Basel Week.
Living Museum × Open Invitational brought together progressive studios, Living Museums, artists, and socially engaged art organizations from across Europe and the United States.
Open Invitational was initiated by curator and gallerist David Fierman and Ross McCalla to expand visibility, access, and cultural recognition for artists with disabilities and artists working within progressive studio environments.
Hosted in Basel in partnership with the Living Museum Society, the exhibition connected a growing international network of creative communities dedicated to art, care, mental health, inclusion, and cultural participation.
Across exhibitions, performances, tours, and public conversations, Living Museum × Open Invitational presented art as a force for visibility, empowerment, connection, and social change.
